This Heron Sweatshirt, along with a few other pieces, is my first experience with the ALALA brand. I'm a very active person and am always on the lookout for new activewear brands.Firstly, I appreciate that this sweatshirt is made in USA. I go out of my way to support companies who choose to manufacture domestically. Although they do not have a commitment to manufacturing all of their products in the United States as they state on their website: "We manufacture most of our products in North America, with select styles made around the world."This sweatshirt is made of 95% rayon and 5% spandex. It's very soft and has a wonderful slinky feel with a nice drape. It feels very luxurious. ALALA is labeling it as a sweatshirt, and while it is French terry, it has a light feel.The cut and unique details of this sweatshirt make it a really interesting piece. It has a boxy cut with a crew neckline, stepped-hem, generous side slits, and a mesh back. These details add unique visual interest. I have the "Grey" color and it is a great light neutral that is a classic activewear color and true to the description photos.For reference, I am 5'5" tall 110 lbs 30D with a straight body type and long limbs with a short torso. I typically wear a size 0 or XS. After glancing at the size chart on the ALALA website, I confidently ordered this swearshirt in my usual "X-Small". This piece fits me true-to-size with a slightly over-sized cut.This is a great piece for layering over my workout clothing. I wear this to and from the gym, yoga, and Pilates studios. It's very functional and looks great! I love that the mesh back shows off my sports bra or tank. I get compliments on this sweatshirt all the time.I'm really happy with this Heron Sweatshirt, as well as the other pieces I have tried from ALALA - highly recommend!I’m a new fan of Alala Brand Clothing, I have a few pieces from them now and each one is sooo soft and luxurious feeling, I could live in this stuff!Perfect for the gym, or going out for a hike, or even just running errands.This top is labeled as a “sweatshirt” but I’d call it more of a long sleeve top? It’s not thick enough in my opinion to be in the sweatshirt category but it’s a bit thicker than your standard long sleeve top if that makes sense?The fit is true to size, and drapes nicely over the skin, the material is buttery soft and that’s what I love most about this line!Would absolutely recommend!This is a nice shirt, but I didn't personally like it as much as some of Alala's other items. They market themselves as being active wear, but everything I have from them is very very soft and luxurious and more like leisure wear, so the mesh for me feels a little out of sync with the softness of the fabric. If you're in between sizes I would size up, because on me the front and back panel are a little bit separated and I think they would look better if they sat more closely together with a looser fit.This is amazing. So adorable first of all with slots on the sides and a mesh back. Must wear something underneath as the slits are high. Higher than I thought for sure - almost right under the bra showing area. I didn’t even care though as the comfort and quality of this is lush. I want to sleep in it.It’s pricey- but if you take care of this article you should have it forever. High end. Super cute and comfy and stylish.Highly recommend. Worth every penny.Beautiful quality and design from this manufacturer. This is not your average sweatshirt. Great fabric and nice details including the mesh back. Great for after yoga or exercise class. So nice!Nice weight fabric, the mesh back is cool and comfortable.The side slits go pretty high and allow a lot of air flow.This is a nice sweatshirt which works well post-workout or for lounging. However, at this price-point, I was expecting better quality as far as the fabric goes. It's okay but for this much, it should be amazing.
